TAG-Confucius Institute Participates in the Cultural Day of Jubilee School
AMMAN- April 26, 2016 -
Talal
Abu-Ghazaleh Confucius Institute (TAG-Confucius), the official testing
center for China's HSK examinations (Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi) participated
in the Cultural Day of Jubilee School, for the sixth consecutive year.
Representatives
from several institutes and embassies participated in the cultural
event with TAG-Confucius booth registering highest popularity among
students who were interested in learning more about the Chinese language
and culture.
TAG-Confucius held several exciting activities
including Chinese calligraphy, traditional Chinese costumes and Chinese
tea habits.
During the opening ceremony, the TAG-Confucius Dean,
Professor Ms. Yang Song Fan, addressed in her speech that the services
and activities provided by TAG- Confucius serves the purpose of
spreading Chinese language and culture; including the scholarships
granted by the Institute to students in China and the student summer
camps organized in China for the Institute’s students.
Considering
the importance of the Chinese economy, culture and civilization,
Professor Ms. Song Fan invited all those interested in studying the
language to visit the institute, and become familiar and benefit from
the various services offered.
Meanwhile, Ms. Suha Jouaneh,
Principal of Jubilee School, expressed her appreciation for the
Institute’s role in the success of the cultural day, as well as its role
in teaching Chinese language and spreading the culture and
civilization.
At the end of the ceremony, the Institute was honored for its cultural role in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
TAG-Confucius Institute:
The
Institute was established in September 2008 to introduce the Chinese
language and culture, as well as achieving a greater mutual
understanding between the Arab and Chinese cultures. This unique
initiative is based on the cooperation agreement between TAG- ORG and
Confucius Institute in China. The institute has been named after the
great intellectual, mentor and philosopher, Confucius, of which his
ideas influenced China and other regions around the world for
approximately 2000 years.
