The agreement was signed by Ihab Hinnawi, CEO of Umniah, and Luay Abu-Ghazaleh, Vice chair of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh-Organization (TAG-Org), with the attendance of the British Ambassador HE Mr. Peter Millett and HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh in addition to local media representatives.

A graduation ceremony was held on the sidelines of the event, where recognition certificates were distributed to participants from the Al-Aman Fund for the Future of Orphans who completed the basic training program aimed at preparing them to enter the work market.
During the signing ceremony, Mr. Luay Abu-Ghazaleh commended Umniah on its efforts in helping TAG-Knowledge reach its goals, spread knowledge in the Jordanian community, and hone local skills in order to achieve sustainable development founded on education and knowledge.

In turn, Mr. Hinnawi affirmed Umniah's dedication to strengthening its relationship with TAG-Knowledge and said, "We are committed to actively supporting valuable Jordanian initiatives that benefit the local community, particularly youth and students to whom we belong and who we strive to provide with the skills they need to enter the work market as productive individuals capable of contributing to our country's progress. We would like to congratulate the training program graduates, and we encourage them to continue developing their skills so that they may lead successful careers and one day accomplish their dreams. Through our partnership with TAG-Knowledge, we look forward to adding to our repertoire of achievements, and creating a mature generation that is capable of bettering its society."

As part of the agreement, Umniah will continue to support the 'Umniah and Talal Abu-Ghazaleh MBA Scholarship Initiative' that extends academic scholarships to outstanding Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Graduate School of Business Administration (TAGSB) students, particularly students benefitting from the Needy Student Endowment Fund, thus helping them obtain their Master's degree in any specialty offered by the TAGSB. TAGSB's advanced academic curricula rival those offered by top international business administration colleges such as Harvard University and Canisius College.

The British Ambassador, Mr. Millett, expressed his satisfaction with this cooperation between public and private sectors to serve the community, especially with regard to qualification and capacity building of youth. He also appraised the services offered by TAG- Knowledge to the students' community.
The Ambassador announced that he is in the process of conducting a study in Jordan to implement the program established by the British government to develop the youth capabilities in order to serve the social and economic development.

HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh stressed that the services presented by TAG- Knowledge are a duty and a part of the TAG-Org's corporate social responsibility. He said that what the private sector' institutions offer is not a favor but a response to what the community provided to such institutions.
He also added that corporates should develop the concept of community service and that the cooperation between TAG- Knowledge and Umniah is a role model for the cooperation between private sector institutions.

Furthermore, Umniah will carry on launching computer training initiatives, offering skill-development courses to underprivileged students, and giving students the opportunity to complete their undergraduate training requirements through Umniah's various departments. The Company will also sponsor TAG-Knowledge's various activities; supply it with a comprehensive range of mobile, fixed and wireless (Umax) Internet, and business solutions services; as well as present it with competitively priced telecom offers.
Furthermore, Ms. Maha Al Saqa, general director of Al Amaan Fund for the Future of Orphans, appreciated the role and efforts of TAG-Knowledge and Umniah in supporting the mission and objectives of the Fund and awarded the Fund's shield to HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh and to Mr. Ihab Hinnawi.
